Localisation Directors/Managers, Engineering Managers/Directors, Decision Makers.
Wednesday, 14 December 2005: XLIFF and Translation Web Services Standards
This day will provide an in-depth and very practical introduction into two of the
most important localisation standards. The sessions will be run by the chairs of
the technical committee developing these standards under the umbrella of OASIS
(www.oasis-open.org). They will cover an introduction to the standards, and the
technical and business rationale behind them; they will also include practical
examples of their application in a localisation environment
Thursday, 15 December 2005: IGNITE - Localisation Standard Verification
This day will introduce the IGNITE approach to Localisation Standards Verification
and Interoperability Testing. Following a discussion on the role of standards,
verification and interoperability in the context of the Localisation Factory,
the consortium will invite comments on its strategy to build a linguistic resources
repository, develop a standard localisation process and set up a standards
and interoperability verification operation.
